The Museum of the City of New York
The museum displays exhibits of the history of New York from the Dutch colony to the present. We watched a short film of the development over the years of the city. There were paintings hanging and this painting below, I thought was amazing and creative.
El Museo Del Barrio
El Museo Del Barro which means "museum of the neighborhood", is the only museum devoted to Puerto Rican,Caribbean, and Latin American culture. Located in Spanish Harlem we took a tour of the neighborhood the first stop Graffiti Hall of fame. This is painted by an artist "Sting Ray" on the walls of a school building and every year a new artist is chosen to display his or her art work.
After, we passed the Heckscher building which was once an orphanage it is now known as the scary building of the neighborhood.
Then we went to to a wall dedicated to Julia Constancia Burgos Garcia, art work by Manny Vega.Julia was a Puerto Rican poet and activist. The community has great respect for her and many displays of her are throughout the community. Although she died at the age of 39 from pneumonia she will be remembered forever. Here is one of her last poems, the only one written in English, that expresses the darker side of life and her death.

Central Park Walk OH NO!!!!!!!!
Central Park the heartland of Manhattan, 843 acres of recreation and beauty for New Yorker's and visitors to enjoy and explore. The park design was that of Olmsted and Vaux who wanted to enhance the existing land. The park was intended for relaxation of the hard working people and the wealthy for amusement. There are many activities in the park such as bicycling, boating, carousel, carriage rides and a zoo to name a few. The sites of Manhattan were breath taking a view all should see. As we walked along, we saw joggers, children playing, and even had a chance to hear Alicia Keys rehearing for her concert that she was going to preform the next night. We also went to Strawberry Fields an area to honor the late John Lennon, a former Beatles member. We viewed the building the Dakota the home of John Lennon were he was assassinated in 1980.Although we traveled the lenght of the park and more, we still did not see everything and I plan to visit again perhaps go boating!!!!!
